ARGENT STEEL LIMITED holds are large range of special steels in stock these are as follows:
Tool steels are generally heat treated to give high hardness values, producing steels with high wear resistance, toughness and impact strength
Spring steels generally give higher hardness values and very high yield strength with good wear characteristics after treatment. This allows objects made of spring steel to be able to return to their original shape despite significant bending or twisting. Spring steels also have good abrasion resistant and will hold a sharpened edge if required.
High-speed steels are generally superior to tool and carbon steels, displaying higher hardness and abrasion resistance when treated, they are also able to withstand elevated temperatures without losing hardness.
MARTENSITIC STAINLESS STEELS
This group of stainless steels can be hardened and tempered, resulting in, high toughness and corrosion resistance after treatment.
